About our practitioners and our membership standards

Homeopathy is a complementary health modality that is not regulated under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law administered by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Homeopaths are classified as unregistered health practitioners for the purposes of applicable state and territory legislation. Practitioners listed in this directory hold professional membership of the Australian Homoeopathic Association (AHA). This means they have satisfied the AHA’s requirements for professional membership, which include completing an approved course of study in homeopathy, demonstrating sufficient practical experience, maintaining current professional indemnity insurance, and completing a minimum of 20 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points each year.

All professional members are bound by the AHA Code of ethics and practice. AHA professional membership is a standard of professional excellence set by the AHA. It is not equivalent to, and should not be confused with, statutory registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law. All practitioners listed here are required to comply with the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers applicable in their state or territory.
