About the Presentation:

Session 1: The midline is a vital part of our body’s functioning - physically, emotionally and spiritually - and yet it is hardly ever referred to in homoeopathy. When it is out of balance it can be enough to prevent even the best indicated remedies from acting thoroughly. We will explore the midline from an anatomical, structural point of view as a lead in to understanding all its functions, including those concerned with spirit. En route Colin will help us understand the significance of trauma to the spinal column and how the seven major chakras are intimately connected. Colin will discuss the symptoms that indicate problems with the midline and encourage the consideration of posture, stance and movement that may reveal tell tale signs of distress. Finally we will look at medicines that have an affinity for the midline.

Session 2: In this session Colin will present three new medicines that have a strong affinity for the midline and that can enhance its vitality - Ayahuasca, Sycamore Seed and Iron Pyrite. Each of these three new medicines can lay claim to their distinctive places in the materia medica. While Ayahuasca and Sycamore Seed have been in circulation for over 30 years, Iron Pyrite is just starting its journey of healing. We will look at each in the light of their keynotes and their general and emotional symptoms. Colin will also illustrate the extraordinary range of actions of these medicines with cases.

About the Presenter: 

Colin Griffith qualified as a homoeopath in 1989 from the College of Homoeopathy in the UK. Not long after, he became part of a group dedicated to meditative provings which resulted in two volumes of The New Materia Medica which present 72 new medicines. These two volumes are to be followed by a third soon to be published.

Colin has additionally written two other books: The Companion to Homoeopathy and The Handbook of Practical Homoeopathy.

He lectures in the USA, Canada, Spain, Ireland, Japan and the UK. Colin runs a busy practice in Sussex, UK, working alongside his daughter (a homoeopath and shiatsu practitioner) and son (an osteopath and homoeopath).
